She attended Texas Woman’s University and North Texas State, both in Denton, Texas. Janis began her career in Dallas working for an advertising agency. She returned to El Paso in 1981 to work for Sanders Advertising. In 1989 she co-founded a full service advertising agency and opened a Nimlok Trade Show Display Dealership. With 25 years of expansive sales management, marketing, advertising and public relations expertise and years promoting industrial parks, apparel and boot companies, property development firms and regional building and construction corporations, she decided to make a career change to real estate. “Real Estate requires a great deal of marketing and customer service skills, which I understand after co-owning my own advertising agency and working in advertising for 25 years. That marketing knowledge provided a natural foundation for a transition into real estate. She has been with ERA Sellers Buyers Real Estate for 15 years in their El Paso and Las Cruces offices.” Janis and her husband Paul moved to Las Cruces, NM in 2017 and reside in Picacho Hills. “We love the spectacular views from our home which overlooks The Picacho Hills golf course and has views of the pecan fields and Organ Mountains.
